Odaily Planet Daily News: A Reuters survey of analysts showed that as the US dollar continued to be under pressure, bullish bets on some emerging Asian currencies rose, but bearish positions on the Indonesian rupiah increased. The survey of eight analysts showed that traders became optimistic about the Singapore dollar, Thai baht and Indian rupee, and increased long positions in the Philippine peso to the highest level since early October. "The 'silver lining' for all Asian currencies is that the US dollar itself is facing challenges." Analysts at HSBC Holdings wrote, "The low level of the US dollar index will help curb the upside risk of the US dollar against Asian currencies." (Jinshi)
