WSJ: Anthropic to Launch $1.5 Billion AI Joint Venture With Blackstone, Goldman Sachs

The Wall Street Journal reports that Anthropic is finalizing a roughly $1.5 billion joint venture with Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hellman & Friedman, General Atlantic, and other Wall Street firms, with an announcement expected as soon as Monday. Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman are each expected to contribute approximately $300 million, while Goldman Sachs is set to invest around $150 million as a founding partner. The venture will function as an AI consulting arm, helping private-equity-backed portfolio companies integrate Anthropic's tools across operations. The deal comes as Anthropic eyes a public listing as soon as this year, with revenue surging on the back of its Claude Code coding tool.
