Hong Kong to Unveil New Fintech Development Blueprint

According to PANews, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Yu Weiwen, announced plans to release the next phase of the fintech development blueprint. This initiative aims to ensure Hong Kong remains at the forefront of financial technology. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority will explore central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and develop next-generation data infrastructure. Additionally, further research will be conducted on tokenization to enhance the financial system. Hong Kong also plans to establish a comprehensive digital currency framework to facilitate the coexistence of various forms of tokenized currencies, including digital Hong Kong dollars, tokenized deposits, and regulated stablecoins.
