Delphi Digital Predicts Economic Shifts by 2026

According to ChainCatcher, Delphi Digital's latest report, "2026 Market Outlook," highlights a shift in the macroeconomic environment despite the current bearish sentiment in the crypto market. The report notes that global central banks have initiated a cycle of interest rate cuts, with the U.S. Federal Reserve ending its quantitative tightening. It is anticipated that by the end of 2026, the federal funds rate will fall below 3%, potentially increasing global liquidity. The report also emphasizes that the surge in gold prices indicates an accelerated trend of currency devaluation. Central banks purchased over 600 tons of gold in 2025 and are expected to continue acquiring gold at a rate of 70 tons per month in 2026. Additionally, the substantial U.S. fiscal deficit, ranging from $1.5 to $2 trillion annually, is straining market liquidity and exerting pressure on the U.S. Treasury market. Analysts suggest that as the liquidity environment improves, inflation-resistant assets like Bitcoin may benefit. However, the market is not expected to experience the same level of liquidity as seen during the "liquidity firehose" period of 2020-2021.
