According to PANews, Beijing police recently uncovered a suspicious transaction involving an image of a counterfeit currency master plate. Authorities suspect the buyer intended to print counterfeit money. Following this lead, police apprehended 15 suspects and dismantled eight counterfeiting operations, seizing over 2.5 million yuan in fake currency.
The suspects, primarily born after 2000, include minors. They reportedly learned counterfeiting techniques through foreign software and used printers to produce fake currency, selling it via virtual currency transactions. The suspects not only manufactured counterfeit money but also profited by teaching others the counterfeiting methods.
