Australia's Central Bank Forecasts CPI Decline by 2028

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has released its inflation projections, indicating a gradual decline in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the coming years. According to Jin10, the RBA expects the CPI to be 4.8% in the second quarter of this year and to decrease to 4.0% by the fourth quarter. Looking further ahead, the RBA forecasts the CPI to reach 2.4% in the second quarter of 2027 and 2.5% in the second quarter of 2028. These projections suggest a steady reduction in inflation rates, aligning with the central bank's efforts to stabilize the economy.
