PolygonScan, a tool for tracking activity on the Polygon blockchain, didn't update for more than an hour on Wednesday, sparking apparently unfounded speculation the blockchain itself was malfunctioning.

Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal tweeted that PolygonScan – not the blockchain – was experiencing problems. CoinDesk's Polygon test transactions still appeared to be going through, and OKLink – a PolygonScan alternative – showed that new blocks were being produced by the chain.
