Less than five days after leaving the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk has already begun to criticize Trump’s obsession with the One, Big, Beautiful Bill, which has already been passed by the House of Representatives.
"I'm sorry, but I can't take it anymore. This massive, ridiculous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is disgusting."
"Those who voted for it are shameless and you know you're wrong. You know it!"
"This will massively increase the already massive budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!!) and create an unsustainable debt burden on American citizens."
Congress is Bankrupting America!
To express his anger, Musk also cited the rapidly expanding budget deficit in the United States every year since 2001.

In fact, as early as a week ago on May 27, Musk expressed his extreme disappointment with the “Unique and Beautiful Act” passed by the House of Representatives in an interview with CBS:
“Frankly, I’m disappointed with this huge spending bill. Not only did it fail to reduce the budget deficit, it increased it further and undermined the work being done by the Government Efficiency Team.”
text="">Regarding this "Unique and Beautiful Act", I have already denounced its shamelessness to the extreme in my previous article "If this continues, it will collapse." On May 22, the bill was passed by the House of Representatives and will soon be submitted to the Senate. Today I will describe in detail its main contents.
1. Individual tax relief
The individual tax relief policy of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017 will be continued, and the standard deduction will be increased to $32,000 for couples filing jointly (2025-2028) and $16,000 for individuals; the child tax credit will be increased from $2,000 to $2,500 per child, but only for families where both parents are U.S. citizens; tips and overtime wages for service industry workers will be tax-free until the end of 2028, but will not apply to high-income earners (annual salary exceeding $200,000); tax benefits for the elderly: taxpayers over 60 years old can receive an additional deduction of $4,000.
2. Establish a MAGA account for newborns
Establish a "Growth and Advancement Fund Account" (MAGA Account) for newborns from 2025 to 2028. The government will provide a start-up fund of 1,000, and parents can deposit 5,000 tax-free each year, and use 100 for education or starting a business.
3. Real estate tax reduction
The upper limit of state and local tax (SALT) deduction will be increased from $10,000 to $30,000, but the deduction amount for households with annual income exceeding $400,000 will be reduced, and the mortgage interest deduction policy will be retained.
4. Taxation of remittances from non-citizens
Impose a 5% tax on remittances made overseas by non-U.S. citizens (such as H-1B visa holders and international students);
5. Cancel clean energy subsidies
Abolish the Biden administration’s green energy incentives, such as the electric vehicle purchase tax credit ($7,500) and solar energy subsidies
6. Cut social welfare and Medicaid reform
Require childless adults to work at least 80 hours per month to retain eligibility, and cut spending by an estimated $1.5 trillion. 8.7 million people may lose their health insurance, and cancel some food stamps and subsidies for low-income families.
7. Increase the debt ceiling
Increase the federal debt ceiling by $4 trillion, support tax cuts and increased defense spending.
8. Immigration and defense spending
Appropriate 46.5 billion to build the US-Mexico border wall and increase the defense budget by 150 million.
Looks pretty good, right?
Actually not, this is just a word game.
The tax cuts you see are deliberately described in great detail to make it seem like the government is friendly to the people, especially those on middle and low incomes. In fact, the cuts in health care and other benefits, and the increase in the debt ceiling are the key points, because the federal government already has a very high proportion of deficits, and tax cuts rely entirely on increasing government debt, which is destroying the U.S. finances. And the parts that have been cut are precisely the most important subsidies for the grassroots people.
The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has conducted a detailed analysis of this so-called "Big Beautiful Act", and concluded that:
People with an annual income below $51,000, especially immigrants and green card holders, will be harmed by this bill;
People with an annual income above $51,000 will benefit from this bill, and the higher the income, the greater the benefit.
It's a pity that 65% of American individuals have an annual income of less than $51,000.
Therefore, the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" is essentially an epic robbery of the poor to help the rich.

Specifically speaking of Musk's business territory, whether it is the tariff increase or the Big Beautiful Bill, the Trump camp has thoroughly manipulated Musk, the world's richest man.
The Big Beautiful Act cuts off the Biden administration’s subsidies for electric vehicles and solar energy, and it is with these subsidies that Tesla has been able to develop at a high speed and has its current super-high valuation.
Furthermore, since Trump took office, he has imposed such high tariffs, with tariffs on steel and aluminum rising from 25% to 50%, and Tesla’s manufacturing costs in the United States have soared. On the other hand, Trump also made it clear that Tesla must“produce all in the United States.”
For an electric vehicle company built on the global industrial chain and based on global sales, isn’t this a life-threatening requirement?
The political hooligans are really good at black arts. Even the world's richest man who sponsored billions of dollars in his election campaign, even Iron Man who is determined to go to Mars and change mankind, can only be fooled by a shameless president like Trump.
Back then, Musk was the Minister of DOGE. He was full of energy and ambition, and claimed that he would reform the government and save Americans $2 trillion (reduce $2 trillion in government spending).
But after 100 days,
his actions were as fierce as a tiger, but he was not as good as 0.05 of Trump.
Iron Man, who worked diligently for Trump and offended the entire Democratic Party system, has become a big joke?
What's more, Trump also killed the donkey after it had done its job, canceled the electric vehicle subsidies, and required Tesla to "produce all in the United States". Isn't Musk being treated like a monkey?
In addition, even from the perspective of timing, this tax cut bill is extremely shameless.
All tax cuts in the bill are implemented immediately, while all spending cuts (medical care and welfare) will not be implemented on a large scale until 2028 (when Trump's term ends) - this is equivalent to a heavily indebted rogue first spending an additional $4 trillion, and then saying that I will start to cut spending four years later, and it is expected to save $1.5 trillion.
Trump used this extremely shameless "pork barrel politics" to buy voters and Republican members of the Senate and House of Representatives, and at the expense of the future interests of the country, what he bought was his personal loyalty.

Facing his more concerned political ideal of "saving government spending", Musk clearly realized that he had been played as a clown by Trump before, but he still planned to use his influence to influence more people to oppose the bill.
On June 4th, US time, Musk began to call on the American people to contact their legislators to kill the bill together. He also posted a picture of "Kill Bill" on X and claimed that,
"It is wrong to let the United States go bankrupt." Going further, Musk also retweeted a proposal drafted by Senator Mike Lee on X - if the US fiscal deficit exceeds 3%, then all members of Congress should be collectively dismissed, and retweeted Mario Nawfal's post, claiming that the Big Beautiful Act should be renamed the "Big Ugly Act."

By the way, in fact, as early as a few months ago, I have concluded that Musk and Trump are not the same kind of people at all, and it is impossible for them to continue to cooperate.
How did Musk get together with Trump?
