For investors, Zohran Mamdani, a Muslim born in the 1990s who calls himself a socialist, recently defeated political giant and former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary for New York City Mayor. I don't usually care about politics, but here is a fascinating story about capitalism, financial markets and wealth.
Zach Ware wrote: "Mamdani's victory was a post published by Rob Henderson on the "Luxury Faith" blog, and then it became a reality. It sounds good that a group of rich people voted for a group of poor people to make them feel charitable. But the (smarter) poor people voted against it because they knew it was complete bullshit."

Think about how crazy this situation is. A self-proclaimed socialist has the opportunity to become the mayor of the heart of the global financial system. Irony is far from enough to describe this situation.
It’s insane.
Capitalism is under attack from TikTok-ized brains that have no idea how the world actually works. If you don’t believe me, just look at these data:
My friend Marty Bent expressed this perfectly when he wrote:
I’m sure most of you are well aware of the results of the Democratic primary for New York City’s mayoral election. Zoran Mamdani — an avowed socialist who campaigned on promises of rent control, city-run grocery stores with price caps, and called for defunding the NYPD during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots — won his primary in a landslide. Much of this was thanks to New York City’s idiotic ranked voting system. His campaign and primary victory were a poster child for America’s intellectual corruption. Nothing illustrates this better than the data in the screenshot shared by Geiger Capital above.
Working class people without college degrees who understand the value of hard work and what it means to live a life of integrity and dignity gravitated toward the less radical incumbent Democrat, former Governor Andrew Cuomo, while working class people with college educations gravitated toward Mamdani. I can say with absolute certainty that this is the product of decades of Marxist indoctrination at the university level, coupled with a never-ending propaganda barrage from the mainstream media that has convinced educated liberals (especially white men, and more specifically white women) that they should be incredibly ashamed, should rebel against capitalist principles, and should devalue their lives as a form of implicit compensation by supporting socialist policies.
The damage done to this group of people’s minds is incalculable, and if the indoctrination and propaganda ultimately succeeds through socialist policies adopted by the United States, we will lose our once great country.
There are many reasons to criticize capitalism. It does not apply 100% to everyone. The fact is that the promise of capitalism is equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. That is exactly what economic incentives and financial rewards are all about, it is given to those who take risks and make the right choices.
People may not like this fact, but that doesn’t mean it is not true.
So you have to make your choice now. You can bet your financial future on the rest of the country getting smarter and rejecting socialist policies, or you can take your future into your own hands and opt out of the system with some of your money. Bitcoin was designed to be a sovereign, decentralized asset that allows anyone to benefit from the principles of sound money. It doesn’t matter who’s president, governor, or mayor. No matter how stupid the economic policies of our leaders, Bitcoin always wins. Strangely enough, the crazier the economic policies of the leaders, the more Bitcoin benefits the people. If you live in a violent neighborhood, you move out, or make sure you have the means to protect yourself and your family. If you live in a time when the capitalist system is threatened, you have to find ways (BTC) to protect your hard-earned economic value.
I know what I want to do for my family. Hopefully some of you have a plan too.
