英国大选即将于当地时间7月4日举行。英国保守党长达14年的执政大概率将被工党终结，但留给后者的英国，也已是一个“烂摊子”了。
这将改变英国处理加密货币和区块链政策的方式。民意调查数据显示，由基尔·斯塔默领导的工党可能会取代由首相里希·苏纳克领导的保守党。
根据民调机构益普索集团（Ipsos）对选民投票意向的调查，工党获得42%的英国选民支持，领先保守党（19%）足足23个百分点。英国改革党、自由民主党、绿党分别获得15%、11%和7%的支持率。
英国大选热度不及欧洲杯
英国民众对谁会入主唐宁街10号的话题已经打不起精神，送走首相苏纳克，未来似乎没有大不同。生活在英国曼彻斯特的华人小余表示，尽管大选临近，她并没有感受到选举的政治气氛。
“比起大选，英国人显然更关心欧洲杯英国队的表现。”她称。
保守党长期执政造成不满
自2010年时任保守党领袖卡梅伦带领该党赢得大选以来，保守党一直是英国执政党。但在最近几年，保守党领导人糟糕的执政表现引发越来越多英国民众的不满，其支持率也快速下滑。
今年5月，英国通货膨胀率下降至2.3%，仅比英国央行设定的目标高出0.3个百分点，达到苏纳克出任首相以来的最低水平。但英国《独立报》指出，通胀下降并不意味着生活成本会回到以前的水平，只是意味着成本上涨的速度减缓。
工党释放疑似亲近加密货币信号
2022 年，里希·苏纳克 （Rishi Sunak） 将加密货币作为其平台的一部分，承诺英国将接受这项新技术。两年后，苏纳克议会承诺通过的几项法案仍在辩论中。
随着大选的临近，这些延误给该行业带来了不确定性。随着选举定于7月4日举行，工党获胜的可能性很大。
然而，工党对其对加密货币的立场一直模棱两可。该党尚未发布任何明确的指令，也没有对加密货币和区块链技术采取明确的立场。
今年1月，工党发布了一份金融平台文件，其中没有提到“加密货币”或“区块链”。然而，它确实包括了“拥抱证券代币化和中央银行数字货币”的愿景。
选民对加密货币期待很高
根据数字资产平台 Zumo 在 6 月 7 日至 11 日期间委托进行的一项调查，在英国 3,124 名 18 至 34 岁的成年人中，约有三分之一表示他们对该国加密货币的未来感到担忧。大致相同比例的受访者表示，英国立法者应该考虑该行业的增长。
民意调查显示，这一观点部分基于一些对加密货币友好的国会议员（MPs）“下台”，即在选举后离开政府。东基尔布赖德、斯特拉特海文和莱斯马哈戈的国会议员丽莎·卡梅伦（Lisa Cameron）倡导了许多支持加密货币的政策，她在 10 月份表示，她不会参加大选。
作为本次大选的主要候选人，斯塔默和苏纳克在6月26日的最后一次电视辩论中都没有提到加密货币或区块链。
然而，随着民意调查显示工党可能会掌权，据报道，一些加密货币高管正在讨好党内官员，包括影子财政大臣雷切尔·里夫斯（Rachel Reeves）和影子城部长郁金香·西迪克（Tulip Siddiq）。
