在2022年的金额中，因跨链桥黑客攻击而损失的资金在12起事件中占到18.9亿美元。总体而言，针对以太坊、BNB Chain和Solana的攻击占了大多数。
在2022年发生的167起重大事件中，51.5%的攻击事件发生在经过审计的项目中，48.5%的攻击事件发生在未经审计的项目中。链安表示，总共有38.7%(14亿美元)的被盗资金是通过加密货币混合器Tornado Cash进行洗钱的。全年只有价值2.89亿美元的资金被追回。然而，这个数字可能更高，因为根据执法部门的要求，一些追回的资金还没有公开披露。
2022年，全球区块链相关犯罪(不包括金融犯罪)总额达137亿美元。洗钱事件以73.3亿美元位居榜首，其次是DeFi漏洞攻击(36亿美元)、多层次营销骗局(10亿美元)和欺诈(8.3亿美元)。除了加密货币交易所FTX的崩溃外，在此期间还发生了243起欺诈和rug pull事件，涉及金额总计4.25亿美元。
