BC Card of South Korea and Base have reached a cooperation agreement to promote the pilot program of USDC payments in South Korea.

South Korean payment infrastructure provider BC Card announced a partnership with Base to jointly promote a pilot program for domestic payments in South Korea based on the US dollar stablecoin USDC. The two companies plan to integrate Coinbase's Base Chain wallet with BC Card's QR payment system to test the process of using USDC for payments at South Korean merchants and ultimately settling in Korean won, in order to assess compliance, interoperability, and practical feasibility.
