UBS announced that it has successfully completed an end-to-end, real-time tokenized fund transaction in a production environment using the Chainlink Digital Transfer Agent (DTA) standard. The transaction, executed jointly by UBS Tokenize and DigiFT, involved the first on-chain subscription and redemption of the UBS USD Money Market Fund token, uMINT. The process reportedly covers all stages of the fund's lifecycle, including order receipt, execution, settlement, and data synchronization between on-chain and off-chain systems. DigiFT, as the on-chain fund distributor, automated the settlement of uMINT shares based on the Chainlink DTA standard. Mike Dargan, COO and CTO of UBS, stated that this transaction demonstrates the potential of smart contracts and standardized technologies to improve fund operational efficiency and investor experience. Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov stated that this achievement sets a new industry benchmark for institutional-grade tokenized finance. DigiFT founder Henry Zhang added that the Chainlink DTA standard enables real-time subscription and redemption operations directly integrated with institutional custody systems.
