Analysts: If US CPI is higher than expected, it may weaken the expectation of interest rate cut

Asian currencies consolidated against the dollar in early trading ahead of the release of U.S. September CPI data later on Friday. Matt Simpson, an analyst at StoneX, said money markets are currently pricing in a 99% probability of a 25 basis point rate cut from the Federal Reserve next week and another 25 basis point cut in December.
