Bitget Wallet supports the use of stablecoins to pay gas fees in a multi-chain environment

Bitget Wallet recently announced support for seamless gas fee payments with stablecoins. Users can now pay network fees directly with USDT, USDC, or the platform's BGB token on Solana, TRON, and major EVM-compatible networks, eliminating the need to pre-deposit or top up the network's native tokens (such as ETH, TRX, or SOL). This feature automatically deducts gas fees from users' stablecoin or BGB balances upon transaction execution, eliminating the need for additional top-ups or the creation of a separate gas account. Currently supported networks include Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana, and TRON, with plans to expand to more public chains, including Plasma, Sei EVM, and Morph. Previously, Bitget Wallet launched the "GetGas" feature, which allowed users to pre-deposit USDT, USDC, ETH, or BGB to pay for network fees, but this still required a separate top-up. This upgrade further streamlines the process by leveraging the EIP-7702 standard, the Paymaster model, and energy leasing mechanisms, enabling a gas payment experience that requires no pre-deposit. Bitget Wallet currently supports cross-chain exchange and trading services for 24 major blockchains. In the future, the wallet plans to expand its gas abstraction mechanism to cross-chain transaction scenarios, promoting a more seamless cross-chain and gas-free user experience for self-hosted wallets.
