Odaily Planet Daily News: Democratic staff in the U.S. House of Representatives accused the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) on Tuesday of refusing to provide them with key technical analysis of the CLARITY Act crypto bill in a political operation, while providing relevant information to the Republicans. The bill will create a regulatory framework for the U.S. crypto industry and rewrite some securities laws. Democrats are concerned that the bill may go beyond the crypto field, have a significant impact on traditional securities markets, and may create technology-based regulatory loopholes. Maxine Waters, ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee, plans to write to SEC Chairman Paul Atkins to request a written analysis to both parties. The bill will be marked in the committee on June 10, and the SEC's uncooperative attitude may affect the support of some pro-crypto Democratic lawmakers for the bill. (Decrypt)
