Glassnode: The proportion of inactive Bitcoin supply in a year has fallen to an 18-month low

The percentage of Bitcoin’s circulating supply that was last moved on-chain at least a year ago has fallen to its lowest level since October 2022, according to data tracked by blockchain analytics firm Glassnode. On Monday, 12.95 million BTC, or 65.84% of BTC’s circulating supply, remained unchanged for more than a year, the lowest share since October 2022. The metric briefly exceeded 70% in mid-January, when nearly a dozen spot ETFs were listed in the U.S., and has been falling since then. Since late December, the percentage of BTC’s circulating supply that has not moved for at least two years has fallen from 57.4% to 54%. (CoinDesk)
