Altcoins Surge in Open Interest, Surpassing Bitcoin

Altcoins, led by Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin, have surpassed Bitcoin in open interest, marking a significant shift in the derivative market. Altcoins now command 41% of the market's open interest, totaling $12.22 billion, while Bitcoin's dominance has decreased to 39%. Ethereum also trails behind, despite increased funds in its futures market. The altcoin market, with a 66% volume dominance, is reshaping investor portfolios, showcasing a paradigm shift in cryptocurrency dynamics.

Cboe reaches surveillance agreement with Coinbase for spot bitcoin ETFs

The race for the first spot bitcoin ETF in the U.S. continues as Cboe amended five filings on Tuesday to add that it has “reached an agreement on terms” with Coinbase to enter into surveillance-sharing agreements.  The changes were made for filings for the Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust, WisdomTree Bitcoin Trust, VanEck Bitcoin Trust, Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF and ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF.
