Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz recently gave an interview to CNBC and expressed confidence that the U.S. SEC will soon approve a Bitcoin spot ETF. Novogratz said: "We will not see this ETF until January 10, 2024. This is Gensler's deadline before getting involved in Grayscale and litigation."
It is unclear whether Novogratz was specifically referring to Grayscale’s application to convert GBTC into a Bitcoin ETF or other Bitcoin spot ETF applications submitted by other financial institutions.
Meanwhile, Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein said the SEC needs to approve various Bitcoin ETF applications simultaneously to avoid giving any issuer a first-mover advantage. (Cryptonews)
