According to BeInCrypto, Colin Shaftesley, chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSII), revealed that the institute will hold a series of training programs and seminars on virtual assets in the coming months. At the same time, two webinars, "How Digital Assets Coexist in Traditional Financial IT Architecture" and "Digital Assets for Portfolio Management", have been included in the HKSII calendar. On June 1, the new license system for the Hong Kong Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VATP) came into effect. On the same day, HKSII issued an update on its website stating that it is working closely with the Examination Board and the Education and Development Committee. Additionally, a Virtual Assets Working Group was formed to help develop a corresponding CPT program and exam to support the new licensing regime for market practitioners. Details of upcoming exams and training programs will be announced shortly. Many of the applicants for the new programs in the HKSII program are interested in a career as a cryptocurrency trader. HKSII is the main licensing body for Hong Kong's financial services industry and has close ties with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (HKSFC). It is responsible for providing training and licensing examinations for brokers and asset managers in Hong Kong.
