CoinGecko report: Binance is still the largest CEX with a market share of 51.7%

Odaily Planet Daily News According to the CEX market share (calculated by transaction volume) report for the first half of 2023 released by CoinGecko, Binance is still the largest centralized exchange (CEX), with a market share of 51.7%. Although its spot trading volume fell to US$235.3 billion in June 2023, it still maintained its leading position, an increase of 8.1% compared to February 2023 (US$217.6 billion). However, this is far below Binance’s yearly high of $559.8 billion achieved in March. The second largest CEX is Upbit, with a market share of 8.1%. The spot transaction volume in June 2023 is US$36.8 billion, an increase of 52.3% compared to the transaction volume in May 2023 (US$24.2 billion). As of June 2023, OKX is the third largest CEX with a market share of 7.0% and a spot transaction volume of $29.5 billion. The market shares of the rest of the top ten CEXs are less than 7.0%, among which Coinbase is 6.5%, Bybit is 5.4%, and KuCoin is 4.9%.
