According to Yonhap News Agency, in order to crack down on illegal foreign exchange transactions related to virtual assets, the Korea Customs Service has decided to actively exchange information on foreign exchange crimes with the Hong Kong Customs Administration. Ho Pei Shan held bilateral talks and discussed these plans. The South Korean Customs Service stated that more than 60% of the suspected illegal foreign exchange transaction funds under investigation flowed to companies located in Hong Kong. The customs authorities of the two sides decided to promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in combating foreign exchange crimes to exchange information on illegal foreign exchange transactions.
