According to CNBC, Thyme Care raised $125 million in a Series E funding round at a valuation of more than $2 billion, with Morgan Health leading the deal and Humana and CVS Health Ventures among the strategic investors. The company said the round roughly doubled its valuation from a Series D less than a year ago and included AlleyCorp, HealthQuest Capital and a16z Bio + Health.
Thyme Care, launched in 2020 and ranked No. 18 on the 2026 CNBC Disruptor 50 list, said it is forming a new parent company called Thyme Companies to build additional businesses focused on gaps in cancer care delivery, access and payment. Robin Shah, who co-founded the company with Bobby Green, will serve as executive chairman of the new entity after stepping down as Thyme Care CEO in July, when Brad Diephuis took over as chief executive.
Shah said the first priorities for Thyme Companies will be cancer drug affordability, including faster adoption of lower-cost biosimilars, and improving access and navigation in clinical trials. He said the first of those businesses is expected to launch later this year. Thyme Care said its services reach more than 10.5 million people across all 50 U.S. states, it manages more than $7 billion in oncology spend, and revenue topped $125 million last year, five times the prior year. Shah also said the company is profitable, generating positive free cash flow, and has no near-term IPO plan.
