AI TRENDS | Saudi AI Firm Humain Partners With Together AI and MinIO on Data Centers

Saudi state-owned AI company Humain announced a series of partnerships with several U.S. startups on Monday, with projects set to be based in data centers in Riyadh and Dammam. According to Sina Finance, Together AI will share part of each customer's revenue with Humain, while Humain will provide the startup with 250 megawatts of power and 120,000 chips from Nvidia, AMD, and Qualcomm. MinIO, which focuses on unstructured large-scale data storage and retrieval software, will lead the design and development of the Humain Fabric data platform. According to Sina Finance, the platform will store data needed for system operations and will be jointly sold by the two companies, starting in Saudi Arabia before expanding overseas. Humain said its strategy is to use Saudi Arabia's low-cost land and energy resources to build a sovereign AI leader. According to Sina Finance, the company has already signed cooperation agreements with Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, and Groq, and CEO Tareq Amin told the Financial Times last year that the project was expected to require a total investment of $77 billion, with 250 megawatts of computing capacity planned by early 2027 and 6 gigawatts by 2034.
