Oil Prices Rise As U.S.-Iran Conflict Hits Stocks

Oil prices rose and long-dated U.S. Treasury yields also climbed as the U.S.-Iran conflict intensified, while U.S. stocks fell overnight, according to Ming Pao. In afternoon trading, U.S. futures and most Asian markets extended losses. South Korea's Kosdaq fell 1.56%, Japan's Nikkei 225 slipped 0.15%, and the Shanghai Composite reversed to a 0.16% decline. Taiwan stocks rose 1.78% against the trend, while South Korea's Kospi fluctuated and ended up 0.23%.
