US President Trump commented on the status of negotiations with Iran, but refused to rule out the possibility that hostilities might continue. When asked by reporters whether he was "eager to break the ceasefire," Trump stated that negotiations with Iran were problematic due to Tehran's "stubbornness" and because "nobody knows who their leader is." Returning to the initial question, he concluded, "I don't know if we need to do that"; but added at the end, "We might really need to." Trump also called blocking the Strait of Hormuz "unthinkable" and claimed that Washington had "destroyed" Iran's nuclear capabilities. (Jin Shi)
