Analyst Anstey points out that we seem to be in a new territory, requiring more time to understand the current situation. We need to note that the only dissenting voice on the interest rate decision itself is Milan, who wants a 0.25 percentage point cut. The other three members, Hammark, Kashkari, and Logan, believe that maintaining the current rate is appropriate. Interestingly, these three dissenting members essentially interpret this statement as leaning towards easing. Because, literally, it is clearly neutral: the Committee will adjust the monetary policy stance as appropriate based on actual circumstances to prevent risks that could hinder the achievement of the Committee's objectives. The "objectives" are, of course, maintaining price stability and achieving full employment. But in my view, these three seem to believe that this statement primarily addresses the employment-related task. (Jinshi)
