Shipping in the Strait of Hormuz has come to a standstill again.

According to British sources, shipping in the Strait of Hormuz came to a standstill again on the evening of the 18th. This followed radio warnings that Iranian armed forces had reinstated "strict control" over the strait. Multiple vessels in the area heard the warnings, which have been confirmed. On the same day, British maritime security firm Pioneer Technologies released a report detailing attacks on three vessels near the Strait of Hormuz: an oil tanker, a cruise ship, and a container ship. Two of the vessels were explicitly warned and opened fire by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, while the other container ship was struck by an unidentified projectile 25 nautical miles northeast of Oman, damaging some of its containers.
