Polkadot Attack Yields Significant Profits for Exploiter

In a recent incident involving the unauthorized issuance of 1 billion DOT tokens, an address starting with 0x52f70 managed to exploit the situation for substantial gains. According to Foresight News, the attacker spent approximately $600 to buy low on the Ethereum mainnet and sell high, subsequently transferring the assets via Hyperbridge to the Base network. This maneuver resulted in the sale of 503,000 DOT tokens, yielding 68.72 ETH and a profit of around $150,000. Overall, the exploit led to a total profit of approximately $236,000 for the attacker.
