Back in June of last year, Trump Mobile, part of US President Donald Trump's vast business empire, announced the "Trump T1" phone. By then, hopes of its release had almost been dashed. However, a new report suggests it will eventually reach consumers. According to an interview with US tech media The Verge, company executives stated that some changes are still planned, such as removing the T1 logo. The American flag and gold color scheme on the back cover will be retained. Screen and camera specifications will also be upgraded. Company executives indicated that to reflect the "quality improvement," the price will increase. Some customers who have already paid a $100 deposit will still have to pay a final balance of $499, while later buyers will bear a higher price, but "it will not exceed $1,000." The company also retracted its previous statement that the phone would be manufactured in the US, now stating that the "final assembly" will be completed in the US, while most manufacturing processes will take place elsewhere, but no specific locations were disclosed.
