Historically, the bottoms of major bear markets in 2011, 2015, 2018, and 2022 have closely approached or slightly breached this line. The 'Banana peel' support is a term coined by Brandt in his long-term Bitcoin price analysis. He visualizes Bitcoin's logarithmic price trend from 2010 to the present as a banana-shaped parabola or arc, known as the Bitcoin Banana chart. The outer arc of the banana represents the parabolic rise and extreme expansion at the bull market peaks. The inner arc, or the 'Banana peel' support, signifies the long-term trend support band that deep corrections in multiple bear markets typically touch or slightly fall below.
