Thai Authorities Arrest Chinese National in $31.6 Million Crypto Ponzi Scheme

According to Foresight News, Thai police have arrested a Chinese national, Liang Aibing, in connection with a $31.6 million cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. The case is linked to the blockchain financial platform Fintoch, which operated from December 2022 to May 2023 and was managed by a team of five individuals. Liang, along with an accomplice, Tang Zhenque, was responsible for the platform's technology and project structure. Meanwhile, Al Qinghua and Wu Jiangyan handled promotion and marketing, and Zuo Laijun was in charge of sales. Zuo has been granted bail pending trial. The investigation into the scheme is ongoing as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the operation and its impact on investors.
