YZi Labs Announces Follow-on Investment in Sign

YZi Labs announced on X that it has led a $25 million strategic funding round for blockchain infrastructure company Sign, with participation from IDG Capital. This follows YZi Labs' initial $16 million investment in Sign in December 2024.To date, Sign has raised over $55 million across seed, Series A, and strategic rounds. Initially focused on token distribution and on-chain credentials, Sign is now expanding its mission to build sovereign blockchain infrastructure for governments, covering systems for digital identity, currency, and verifiable credentials.The company is working closely with BNB Chain as a base layer for sovereign applications, aligning with its vision of compliant, scalable national blockchain systems.Sign CEO Xin Yan stated that the new funding will be used to expand the global technical team, with expertise in Hyperledger Fabric, zero-knowledge proofs, and cross-chain interoperability, and establish local teams in multiple countries. The funds will also support government partnerships and national-scale blockchain deployments.
