CME Group Reports Record U.S. Treasury Futures and Options Open Interest

According to Odaily, CME Group has announced that its highly liquid U.S. Treasury futures and options products reached a record open interest of 35,120,066 contracts on November 20. Additionally, the trading volume for CME's interest rate futures and options products hit 44,839,732 contracts on November 21, marking the second-highest single-day volume in history. Agha Mirza, CME's Global Head of Rates and OTC Products, noted that amid uncertainties in economic growth and the pace of Federal Reserve rate cuts, market participants are turning to CME for unmatched trading efficiency and liquidity across the yield curve.
