MiCA Won’t Save Us from a Stablecoin Crisis. It Might be Building One

"While the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation aims to provide a framework for the oversight and management of cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, it may not effectively safeguard us from a potential crisis within the stablecoin sector. In fact, the implementation of such regulations could inadvertently lay the groundwork for future instability by imposing strict compliance measures that drive innovation underground, create barriers to entry for new players, and concentrate power in the hands of a few dominant entities.
