Robert Dunlap has been sentenced to 23 years in prison following his conviction for federal mail fraud related to the Meta-1 Coin scheme. According to NS3.AI, the U.S. Justice Department revealed that Dunlap deceived nearly 1,000 investors, extracting over $20 million by falsely claiming the token was backed by $44 billion in gold and $1 billion in art. U.S. District Judge LaShonda A. Hunt has also mandated restitution for the victims.
