BNB Chain Completes Compensation for Phishing Incident

According to PANews, BNB Chain has announced the completion of compensation for users affected by a recent phishing link incident. Details of the transactions can be viewed on Etherscan. The incident was attributed to phishing links, which have now been removed and controlled. The official statement revealed that the incident involved 10 phishing links, resulting in a total loss of $8,000, with one user losing $6,500. The attackers deployed phishing contract addresses, injecting $17,800 and exchanging it for $22,000 worth of tokens. In response, the team has implemented additional security measures to prevent similar incidents and enhance account protection. Earlier, on October 1, there were reports suggesting that BNB Chain's official Twitter account might have been compromised, prompting users to exercise caution when clicking on links.
