Project Eleven's latest report highlights significant quantum vulnerabilities in Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL), with 65% of Ethereum and 100% of Solana deemed at risk. According to BeInCrypto, Ethereum's vulnerabilities stem from its use of the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), Boneh-Lynn-Shacham (BLS) signatures, and Kate-Zaverucha-Goldberg (KZG) commitments. Solana's structural vulnerability arises from its Ed25519 design, which exposes public keys directly in on-chain addresses. Both networks are actively preparing for quantum threats, with Ethereum targeting Layer 1 protocol upgrades by 2029 and Solana ready to deploy post-quantum solutions when necessary.
