Anthropic is finalizing an agreement to form a new joint venture with Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs, and several other Wall Street firms to sell artificial intelligence tools to private equity-backed companies, sources familiar with the matter said. An announcement could be made as early as Monday, the sources said. Anthropic, Blackstone Group, and Friedman & Co. are key players in the deal, each expected to invest approximately $300 million. Goldman Sachs will also be a founding investor, contributing approximately $150 million. General Atlantic and other firms are also involved in the deal. The total committed investment is expected to be around $1.5 billion, the sources said. The investors aim to create a company that will act as Anthropic's advisory arm, helping businesses, including portfolio companies of private equity firms, learn how to integrate artificial intelligence into their operations.
