Bitcoin Community Rallies Against JPMorgan Amid Index Exclusion Concerns

Calls to "boycott JPMorgan" have intensified following reports that MSCI, formerly known as Morgan Stanley Capital International, may exclude crypto asset treasury companies from its index in January 2026. Real estate investor Grant Cardone expressed his discontent by withdrawing $20 million from Chase, a JPMorgan subsidiary, and filing a lawsuit over credit card violations. As the online boycott movement gains momentum, Bitcoin proponent Max Keiser urged supporters to "take down JPMorgan, buy Strategy and BTC." Strategy, which joined the Nasdaq 100 index in December 2024, benefits from significant capital inflows from passive index funds. In response to MSCI's proposed changes, Michael Saylor clarified that Strategy is neither a fund, a trust, nor a holding company.
