The combination of AI and prediction markets is expected to make predictions more mainstream and intelligent. Buterin also discussed the AI sector, suggesting that blockchain sets the rules while AI can act as a participant. With the rise of AI agents, these entities can independently issue tokens, engage in applications, and governance, opening up experimental opportunities. He urged further exploration of how to empower ecosystem development, stressing that AI should serve as a tool for humans rather than a replacement. Security remains a critical concern, including the hacking risks associated with AI agents. Buterin mentioned the potential of ZK ID (zero-knowledge identity) in preventing AI misuse. ZK ID can help distinguish between humans and bots, supporting developments in low-risk DeFi and other areas while maintaining privacy.
