Revolut to Introduce Bitcoin Lightning Network Payments in Europe

According to Foresight News, digital bank Revolut has announced a partnership with Lightspark to launch a Bitcoin Lightning Network-based payment feature in the UK and select European Economic Area countries. This initiative aims to reduce transaction fees and expedite payment processing by leveraging Lightspark's payment infrastructure. To access the Lightning payment feature, users must complete KYC verification and hold Bitcoin in their Revolut accounts. The upgraded app will facilitate this new payment method. Lightspark, led by former PayPal executive David Marcus, focuses on developing global payment solutions using the Bitcoin Lightning Network. Revolut has not yet disclosed the specific launch date for this feature.
