Polymarket Collaborates with Chainalysis to Enhance Platform Regulation

Polymarket has announced a partnership with blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis Inc. to improve the regulation of its platform. According to Foresight News, Chainalysis has developed tools for Polymarket's cryptocurrency exchange, including a detection model designed to identify patterns consistent with insider information within prediction markets. Additional tools will provide evidence for law enforcement and regulatory bodies, while also enhancing protection against cybersecurity threats. In recent months, the industry has faced significant pressure to combat insider trading due to a series of well-timed and profitable cases. Neal Kumar, Polymarket's Chief Legal Officer, stated that the collaboration with Chainalysis will assist in identifying problematic trades. Last month, Polymarket updated its rules to prohibit trading based on stolen confidential information and illegal insider knowledge, as well as betting by individuals who can influence event outcomes.
